Meria Carstarphen – Superintendent, Atlanta Public Schools
Meria Carstarphen is the new superintendent of APS. Her appearance at BCN was her first public appearance in Buckhead. Several members of the Board of Education (Nancy Meister, Matt Westmoreland, and Cynthia Briscoe Brown) appeared with her and fielded some questions at the end of the session. BCN captured the audio of the entire Carstarphen presentation, all 1 hour and 51 minutes of it, as a 26 MB MP3. Carstarphen’s presentation is far too varied and detailed to attempt to summarize. If the reader missed the meeting and has any interest in APS, you are encouraged to set aside some time and listen to this exceptional presentation.
